Description
While the modern world mainly uses the Cacau bean to manufacture chocolate, Indigenous peoples of the Amazon have used the entire plant for thousands of years as an elite medicine, a sacred ritual tool, and a foundational source of sustenance. For rapé the whole tree is used—blending the roasted seeds directly with alkaline ashes made from the tree’s bark.
