Description
White sage is a shrub native to the dry deserts of the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico that grows two to five feet tall. It thrives on sunny, gravelly slopes and requires well-draining soil with very little water to survive. Historically, Native American tribes used white sage for spiritual cleansing, ceremonial smudging, and traditional medicine to treat cold and stomach ailments.
