Description
Piri Piri is found growing in the muddy edges of slow moving rivers, streams and lakes. The unique properties of the Piri Piri plant are entirely concentrated within its rhizomes, the thick, horizontal underground root stems. Hunters would use the juice of the roots as eye drops for them and their dogs to enhance their senses. The liquid can also be taken internally to stop gut issues. Textile makers boiled fabrics with the root stems rendering the textile resistant to mold.
