Found growing in the Amazon basin red stun can reach up to 65 ft and is a highly resilient and adaptive species. Unlike regular tsunu’s cream-colored ash, the red tsunu variant features a deep red inner bark and heartwood that yield a dark and mineralized ash. It is one of the most medicinally used plants amongst the indigenous used for a variety of ailments such as stomach issues and spiritual practices.
